Hello Social Impact Game Gurus! We (Kindling Group, See 3 Communications & futurePerfect lab) launched a fundraising campaign on indiegogoe for @home, a documentary film and “game for change” that shine light on homelessness in America.
Here's a glimpse at the @home game, after we participated in a 48 hour Hack-a-thon sponsored by POV/PBS: http://bit.ly/16MYYtF
@home follows the story of Mark Horvath, aka @hardlynormal, a formerly homeless man turned e-advocate for the homeless, as he travels the U.S. recording web videos with the homeless men, women, and children he meets along the way.
Want to learn more about Mark’s fascinating story? Watch the trailer!
Please check it out, give what you can, and pass it on (using hashtag #athome)!
This project is especially critical at this juncture. As the debt ceiling and sequester continue to loom, services and programs for the homeless are on the chopping block -- and @home is poised to make sure this issue doesn’t get put on the back burner.
Want to help spread the word? Tweet, post to Facebook, or chat @home up around the water cooler.
Here's some language:
