Registration for International Games Week 2018 is open!
November 4th -10th 2018
Registration for this year's IGW has been open a couple of weeks now and we already have 28 libraries signed up in the UK. IGW is a celebration of games in libraries run by the ALA, ALIA, Nordic Games Week and Associazione italiana biblioteche that aims to reconnect communities through their libraries using games and play. To sign up you'll just need to run a games based activity during (or near to) the week in a library; be that one at your institution, your local public library, a local school library - any library in any sector can join up.
In the UK we are pleased to be sponsored by Asmodee, who will be donating copies of Rory's Storycubes to up to 30 registered libraries. You must register to be eligible for donations. Donations are only available while supplies last (which won't be much longer)
We are still looking for additional sponsors and any further donations will be managed through the ALA Games in Libraries blog. You can subscribe to the blog to receive updates about donations, resources, and information on running a successful event. There is also a monthly UK mailing list at https://mailchi.mp/95cb1d8b07d7/igw-uk-mailing-list
