

TPL – Rules
• Format is for 1 Weekend (2 Days) – Saturday and Sunday (Leather Ball Cricket Matches)
• 8 Teams to register & participate (Please Note: 8 TEAMS does not mean 8 TABLES only)
• Each Team can comprise of either 2 or 3 Tables Maximum. As mentioned above even 1 Table can form 1 Team if they are able to form. But preference may be given to Joint Tables due to limited slots based on response.
• You need to Brand Each Team like “Bangalore Tigers” or “Table Challengers” etc.,
• First 8 to Register and Pay the Registration Amount will get to play “TPL Season IV”
• Each team must have min 11 players, no team is eligible play with less than 11
• Teams can use 15 players per match i.e teams can have specialist batsman /bowlers/fielders etc.,
• Matches will start strictly on time - walkover will be given if any team can’t make in on time as per the schedule
• Teams confirmation will be required by 13th March LATEST
• Dates: 6th and 7th April 2013
• Overs - Round Robin - League matches 12 Overs, Semi Finals -12 overs, Finals 16 Overs
• Final Rules of TPL Season IV will be announced soon!
How do we decide on the Dost Teams?
• On receipt of this email, Request all Tables to submit your confirmation (in general) to participate in the TPL Season IV Tournament.
• All confirmed Tables participating, A Draw will be taken out at a pre-informed location (preferably in front of the AC / AVC / AST / AFC and other Table Chairmen on “Mere Area Ka Dost” Format.
• Of course this draw will include 41’ers team too. All clubs of 41’ers can opt to make one entire team if they wish so provided they are able to positively make a team of 11 Players. Please Note one Club of 41ers cannot make a team.
2 Days only…How?
• 2 Grounds will be available for playing on both Days
• Day 1: League Matches
Team 1 Vs Team 2 - Match 1
Team 3 Vs Team 4 - Match 2
Team 5 Vs Team 6 - Match 4
Team 7 Vs Team 8 - Match 5
• Day 2: Semi Finals and Finals
Winners of match 1 and match 2 = match 3
Winners of match 4 and match 5 = match 6
Finals match 3 and match 6
Why this format?
The whole idea behind TPL is:
• Round Table India is ONE organization but individual Tables and Tablers need to get that feeling of “Working like 1 Team”
• When we mix Tables in tournaments like this, it would give a whole new dimension to coordination & joint partnerships even in projects and other serious business that we do as Tablers.
& THE MOST IMPORTANT REASON IS THAT WE WANT OUT STATION TABLES OF AREA 6 to come to Bangalore on this weekend,
Participate in a fellowship event of this kind by joining with another Table and basically have a Blast!!!
On Both Days at Venue:
• Breakfast, Lunch and Beer on the HOUSE arranged by BCRT172
REGISTRATION:
To register each Team pays Rs.10,000/- for which they will receive Food and Drink Coupons.
This effectively means each table pays Rs.5000/- or lesser in case there are 3 Tables in one team.(if any)
The registration amount is being collected to ensure participation & not spoil the game by a no-show on the day of the match.
This amount needs to be paid in advance (at least 7 Days before the tournament starts)
REQUEST TABLE CHAIRMEN / SECYS OF ALL TABLES TO PLEASE CONFIRM THEIR PARTICIPATION SO THAT WE CAN DRAW THE LOTS OF “DOST TABLES” IMMEDIATELY
Please send in your Table Confirmations (with preference) ASAP preferably before tomorrow 13th March as we would ideally like to draw the lots latest by 15th March to enable the joint teams to have 2 to 3 Sunday’s for practice sessions; For any further clarification please feel free to contact me.
