Hi all,

We have continued to focus on Mobile games and we have been using gameclosure's devkit with our modifications. Over the years we have had a lot of trouble working with plugins and we had to spend quite a bit of time maintaining it especially when newer versions were available. Adding to this some plugins like firebase didn't support ant builds for features like performance.

This along with google's requirement for 64 bit support next year, we debated between modifying devkit vs porting our game to a newer framework. For now we have decided on modifying devkit.

So, this year we at HashCube spent some time porting devkit's build system from ant to gradle and it has been live on 2 of our games for about a few months now. Along with the changes to devkit, most of the plugins we use have also been ported.

With this adding new plugins becomes very very easy and it is now easier to debug with Android Studio :)

Our changes are available in our github repositories and here are the repos with the gradle changes

The rest of the repositories with the plugins are available here -> https://github.com/hashcube/

If you have any questions about this please feel free to reach out.

Regards,
Ram
