Unlocking ZTE MF60 by code is the easiest and fastest way to make your device network free. It doesn't interfere in your system or change it in any way so even after using our code, you don't loose your warranty. In order to receive a network unlock code for your ZTE MF60 you need to provide IMEI number (15 digits unique number). It can be found by dialing *#06# as a phone number, as well as by checking in the phone settings of your device.

If you are looking for an easy and simple way to remove a network blockade from your ZTE MF60, you came to the right place. ZTE network unlock by code is a very cheap and simple to use service, that supports all ZTE models from all networks. Even if you don't know the network in which the ZTE MF60 is locked, this service will still unlock it. It doesn't matter if your device is a smartphone or a modem we can unlock it in 30 minutes.

I Have a Telstra 3G Modem (ZTE MF30) and need to use it overseas. I have contacted testra and they want to charge me $100 to unlock the device. I have also been unable to find any resources online to unlock the device myself.

I got my MF30 unlocked today free of cost from Westfield Liverpool Telstra shop. I took the box and the modem to the guy, which was quite nice and free at that moment. I told him, I bought this last week and the sales person at Harvey norman told me that I can get it unlocked for free, as it is an older version. I told him that I have read various forums that people get it unlocked for free.
He with no arguments took the IMEI no. from the box gave me the code on a paper.

Steps after getting the code:
1. Get the device switched on by putting another company's sim like optus or vodafone and connect to it wirelessly using the SSID and password given on the card in the box.
2. Enter user id : admin and pwd: admin
3. Add a new Profile for new SIM's APN.
For Vodafone it is : vfprepaymbb
and dial no. is *99# ( it the same for all)
save it and set it as default and you are good to go.

Just spoke to a Telstra shop who told me that even if it was unlocked it would not work with another SIM as the software was Telstra only.
Can anyone confirm that this unit would work with a non Telstra SIM?
(Thinking of taking this to Malaysia and want to use a local ISP).

I am using it with Vodafone sim and it is working like a charm.
Its not a telstra Software, it is ZTE modem with Telstra branding like, we have locked mobiles. So after unlocking, they can be used for other sims.

Finally got my unlock code.
I have put in my Three SIM (from my Iphone)
Try to start up and the Mf30 will (eventually) show a red light on the signal, the battery flashes green and then it switches off.
Any tips?

edit: threw in a Vodafone prepaid phone SIM and it started up fine and asked for the unlock code (must not like my Three SIMs). Seems to have accepted it, though I couldnt connect to the net (probably as this a prepaid mobile SIM and not a data SIM).

Does the signal light show red or green when you insert a non-telstra SIM? if it is red light, it is not unlocked. if it is green light, it is unlocked. If it is unlocked, you need to create a new APN for the new network and set it as default.

I was delaying recharging my telstra prepaid mobile broadband sim but I reckon I'll go ahead now, and $150 for 12gb with 12 months to use it is pretty good, when you consider that some of the $150 can be used as phone calls and SMS when need be (not with the MF30 but if the sim is put into a phone).

Thanks but I have never had any success using dccrap. I can get to Card successfully unlocked but then just get Cannot detect sim when I try to connect with the elite and a different sim. The unlocker program now says sim lock status Unlocked but the sim was never locked I want a network unlock.

Visited Telstra shop Indooroopilly yesterday, $27.50 to unlock. Paid GBP8.95 to Unlocked Dongle who guarantee to be able to unolock... they refunded when they found out it is a Telstra one as they use USB software and the Telstra MF30 "doesn't have USB interface".

Similar experience to Tim V over here, but i thought i'd detail my experience both to warn others of approaches that didn't work for me, and to suggest that we collect some info that could help modders like Elcapital to bridge the current gap.

I tried DC-Unlocker which does support the ZTE MF30, but which does NOT support the Telstra version of the MF30 because DC Unlocker requires the modem to tether to your USB port as a modem, not just a mass storage device.

Tried downloading the Russian "BEELINE" firmware in the hope that I could flash the MF30 with firmware which DC-Unlocker might then be able to use because my computer would then be able to access the USB interface for more than just the mass storage device card-reader. but the ZTE "BEELINE" firmware didn't recognise my device any more than the DC-Unlocker software did.

So today I attended a Telstra store in Beenleigh QLD. It was a Telstra branded store but I suppose it was a franchise or something because they said they had no idea how to do this but to try the proper Telstra store in Logan Hyperdome.

Attended the Hyperdome store and they were able to help me but their code generation system required details of the branch, the operator, and a receipt for $27.50, before they could issue the unlock code. (I do not think the code generator relies on these details, just the IMEI)

They ended up taking $20 for the process, but asserted that despite there being plenty of people online who had received an unlock code for free from Telstra stores, this did not convince them that they should do the same.

Ultimately, I don't think that there will be a uniform and easy way to unlock your ZTE MF30 without making use of Telstra's in house code generation algorithm. You might find now that the device is 2-3 years old, Telstra can issue you a code over the phone for $27.50 rather than the $100 quoted earlier.

Perhaps, and forgive my ignorance if this is impossible or impractical, but if we have enough examples of IMEI to 16-digit unlock code relationships, someone in the modding community might be able to reverse engineer a code generator to complement the 12-digit algorithm already in existence.

For safe sake, print screen the essential settings BEFORE doing all these to avoid hiccups. Now I am typing all these via the new connection. Confirmed working and I am a free man 10 dollar poorer :-)
