(it also is in black background and command mode), i Really do not know what to do, my next move was going to be to download the acer erecovery windows 7 from online and burn it and boot from it but that is no where to be found online. i really want to get this laptop working as i have very valuable data and settings on it.

I will be restoring to factory defaults an acer xtensa 4630z for a friend of mine who bought it recently from another person.
It has Windows7 running in it.The seller has not provided any DVD or any code which might be required for the machine.
I wish to know that after running the e-recovery management will the machine ask me for any license key relating to the O.S. Moreover are the drivers already present in the machine or i have to collect it from somewhere else?
on machines built after sep 2010 there is an easier way. search for erecovery management in the search box under START,
this gives options to return to factory settings with and without saving USER DATA to a back up folder. thnx. for setting me on the right road.
