Dear GAMA team,

is it possible to bring back the former universal search for the reference models in the library?
It was possible to search for any phrase and GAMA would deliver any model in which file it found the phrase, this is not the case anymore, it delivers only models in which title the phrase appears.
The GAML reference is helpful, but it helps much more to see the application of e.g. operators etc. in actual code.

Hope you can consider this request,

thank you,

best, Sonja

Hello,
Is it the search bar on top right of editor? If yes it is merge into the search bar on top of navigator/explorer (where you can find the model tree)

Hi,

To my knowledge, there are four places where you can do search for a word (phrase) in GAMA:
  • The first is on the main menu bar (I think you mean this one). This search returns all the lines of the code (in the models of GAMA) that contain the word you are looking for.
  • The second one is at the top right of the window. It loocks for the word in the GAMA documentation.
  • The third is the one on the left (at the top of the models tree), which sorts the models containing (in the title) the word you are looking for.
  • and the last one is on the right top of the editor. It looks for the word on the current edited model.

Thank you!

I looked for the search in the menu bar, but hit the model tree, my mistake (I didn't use GAMA for a while and must have forgotten), sorry for the inconvenience to all and thank you both again for you help!
