Dear. GAMA platform

I have a simple question with regards to the GIS data (shapefile).
i searched googlegroups but i couldn't find it. sorry.
As i follow tutorials on the GAMA website, I could find some shapefiles on github.
Those shapefiles on github have no problem as i am coding on GAMA coding software.
However when i get any other shapefile on other websites(google, or any other), and i coded the same code but the software does not recognize that shapefile.

So my question is,
1. Is there any specific route that i can get a shapefile? (Especially GIS data of seoul, KOREA)
2. Or is there any specific way that i can make a shapefile?
(shapefiles i got on other websites does not have any objects unlike shapefiles on GAMA github)

Thank you.

Dear,

It seems you are new to using GIS data? So Welcome.
A shapefile, works ONLY if you have other associated files with it. A basic minimum shapefile will work with 2 other files. In total, you need ATLEAST .shp, .shx , .dbf. If you put all these in the same folder, only then a .shp file will load properly.
Sometimes, you may mind shapefiles only, that come with atleast 8 associated files. But as I mentioned, you need atleast the 3 listed above.

May be something useful for you here https://guides.lib.umich.edu/c.php?g=283110&p=1886160
