Tutorial for Calling R in GAMA

Dear all,

I have updated the Stats.java for the new R_compute_param operator, which hepls to adding the parameters when calling R codes. Please look at the attached file for a short tutorial and update the new Stats.java if needed.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience but right now, I don't know yet how to update the guide for the R calling into the online tutorial by annotation.

Thank you very much for the doc.
The most convenient way to share it would be to add a new page on the wiki.
In the gama svn version, you could add a page in additional features.

Hi,

Following the tutorial. I get this error  rcaller.exception.RCallerExecutionException: Can not run C:\Program Files\R\R-3.0.2\bin\x64\Rscript.exe. Reason: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "C:\Program": CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified  

(please see attachment). Please advise how to resolve this.

Do I need to install Rcaller ? It is not very clear from the tutorial.

Hi,

I guess you followed the tutorial in the page CallingR16: 

Configuration in GAMA

1) Install R language into your computer.

2) In GAMA, select menu option: Edit\Preferences.

3) In "Config RScript's path", browse to your "RScript" file (R language installed in your system).

Notes: Ensure that install.packages("Runiversal") is already applied in R environment.

First, you do not need to install RCaller.

You only need to install R software from the given link (r-project.org).

Second you need to configure GAMA to find the RScript file (2) and 3) )

Third, if you did not do it before, you need to run R, and to write in the R console :  install.packages("Runiversal") 

which will install the Runiversal package.

(I just tried the R operators, and they seem to work on my laptop)

Euh, it look like an issue of processing the string path. If you use an release version of GAMA, please try to reinstall R to a folder without " " (space) and do again these steps.

here is space : "C:\Program<space>files" , when install R, please try with something C:\R\. I will take a look on svn and commit the fix soon.
