Hello everyone,

Hope you’re all keeping well and ready for another fun-filled year of Galway Cycle antics.  So for anyone who wasn't able to make it to Brady's, and who hasn't seen facebook/other media recently I'm more than delgihted to announce the grand total raised by the Galway Cycle 2014 for the Prader Willi Syndrome Association of Ireland of €150,000!! Congratulations and well done to everyone involved!

27 years, over 10,000 km cycled and over €1,150,000 raised for deserving charities. Not forgetting all the friends, laughs and tears along the way. Now it’s time to start all over again and choose a charity for Galway Cycle 2015.

We're looking for nominations for charities for next year, the charity must meet the following criteria:

The charity will be an Irish based charity with proceeds being spent on projects on the island of Ireland. While there are no limitations, the charity shall be a children’s charity or the funds raised will be used specifically for projects that will benefit children.

To ensure you
r charity is included on the nominations list:
Please email your
nomination to pres...@galwaycycle.ie with "Charity Nomination" and the name of the charity in the subject bar.

 Please include:

  • contact details for a person affiliated with the charity.
  • a brief 120 word description of the work carried out by this group/organisation.
  • website address.

The closing date for nominations will be Sunday 28th of September at 5pm.

A list of all these nominated charities and the description will then be circulated to the group for consideration and voting. The charities with the 5 highest votes will then be asked to make a presentation at our AGM in early October where the Galway Cycle 2015 charity will be chosen by members present.

Further details of this presentation will be forwarded to the selected charities in due course.

That’s all for now. If you have any questions or queries, drop me an email and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

All the best and again well done on making the Galway Cycle 2014 such a success!

Andy
