Hello everyone,

Just some important changes to registration this year. For all the training cycles, starting in January as always, "No helmet - no cycle!" and this year "No insurance - no cycle!" For information on getting insurance and then completing your registration read on!
This year the cycling Ireland insurance must be purchased by each cyclist. You must have cycling Ireland insurance before you can register for the cycle. Below are the steps to take to purchase the insurance.
  • To register with Cycling Ireland and to pay the insurance click on the following link and follow these instructions
    • If you have attended a Galway Cycle before then you will have been previously registered so you should log in with your email address and request a password reset. Do not create a new profile if you have cycled before!
    • Please ensure that your email address on your profile is correct as this will be the method of communication from there on in.
  • You should first update your Profile with the required information (name, email, DOB etc)
  • Following this you should click on the “Member” icon
    • Once in here you will be asked for supplementary information such as your address and phone number
    • For “Licence Type” you should chose “Non Competition”
    • Under Club information, click on the magnifying glass and search for “Maynooth SFC” for the club name. This stands for Maynooth students for charity! Club Province is “Leinster”
  • Once this has been submitted, you details will be sent to our officers for confirmation and once completed (may take a few days), you will receive an email from cycling Ireland asking you to sign in again and submit the required payment.
  • It is €25 for a returning member or €20 for a first time member.
  • In due course you will receive follow-up emails from Cycling Ireland, and please respond to them as appropriate.
  • Once that’s all done, please keep a note of your new licence number. You will need it to register for the Galway Cycle.

If you have any questions/problems about the registration process with Cycling Ireland, please feel free to contact me here or else Conor (trai...@galwaycycle.ie).

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year!

Andy
