Position Summary
The Production Assistant supports the stage management and production teams throughout rehearsals and performances. This role helps ensure that all departments—creative, technical, and front of house—operate smoothly during the run of the show.
Key Responsibilities
Assist stage management with daily rehearsal setup, including props, scripts, and equipment.
Support backstage operations during performances: cueing entrances, managing quick changes, and relaying messages between departments.
Track and distribute production notes, call times, and schedule updates.
Coordinate with lighting, sound, and set crews to maintain clear communication during tech rehearsals and performances.
Handle errands, pickups, and other on-the-fly needs to keep the production running on schedule.
Qualifications
Previous experience in theatre, live events, or a similar production environment preferred.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Availability for all rehearsals, tech weeks, and performance dates.
Compensation & Schedule
Contract position; pay commensurate with experience.
Rehearsal and performance schedules are provided upon engagement.
