The DC Library's Five Minute Horror Filmmaking Workshop is organizing for it's 6th Cohort!

The opening meeting is Thursday, July 23 6:30pm - 8:00pm

This three month workshop guides participants through the process of creating a 5 minute horror short on a $5.00 budget. Meets virtually every other week.


Local filmmakers discuss and dissect of independent horror content, build film-making skills, share support and feedback and resources. We can't wait to reconnect with returning members, as well as welcome new creatives to Cohort #6. Registrants will receive information and instructions on how to join this virtual meet-up. The workshop will culminate in a library-sponsored, in-person, film festival showcase event in November of 2026.
