Art All Night Gets Moving: New Run for the Arts 5K Run & Walk Launches September 13th
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Art All Night is hitting the pavement with its newest activation: the Run for the Arts 5K Run & Walk, a free, timed race celebrating Washington, DC’s vibrant arts and creative community.
Presented by Scorpio Entertainment in partnership with the Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD), the inaugural Run for the Arts 5K will take place Sunday, September 13, 2026 at 9:03 a.m. along the Navy Yard waterfront.
Designed to bring the energy of Art All Night into the morning, the race will feature live performances at the start, entertainment along the course, and a post-race brunch at Bluejacket, giving participants a chance to celebrate together after crossing the finish line.
The event celebrates the artists, performers, creatives, and cultural organizations that make the District one of the country’s most dynamic arts communities.
The free event is open to runners and walkers of all levels. Participants will receive race swag and a finisher medal, with awards presented to top finishers in age divisions. Most importantly, every step helps support, fuel, and amplify Washington, DC’s local creative community.
“Art All Night has always been one of my favorite weekends in DC!,” said Edward Daniels, founder of Scorpio Entertainment. “The Run for the Arts gives us a whole new way to experience that energy — by getting people moving, celebrating local artists, and wrapping up Art All Night with a party on the pavement.”
