Casting Notice: "See It, Be It: The Yvette Lee Bowser Story" (Short Film)

IKAM Productions is casting actors for the upcoming short film See It, Be It: The Yvette Lee Bowser Story, which delves into the transformative power of representation in media. This film serves as the final installment in The Route series, created by Dr. Carletta S. Hurt.

Synopsis:
Entertainment attorney Dana Owens visits a high school media arts classroom on career day. She goes in ready to discuss her legal practice, but instead gives a lesson on the importance of representation on television.

Casting Breakdown

Dana Owens

Female, 35-45
A high-powered entertainment attorney who credits her success to the representation she saw on television. She wants to pay it forward by encouraging high school students.
Ethnicity: Black / African Descent

Ms. Erika Alexander

Female, 35-45
A no-nonsense high school media arts teacher (and television fan) whose primary goal is preparing her students for the future.
Ethnicity: Black / African Descent

Male, 14-17
A bit of a class clown in his media studies class, but once you grab his attention, he’s all in.
Ethnicity: Black / African Descent
