My name is Aishat Abiri, an MFA Filmmaking student at Maryland Institute College of Art. I’m currently casting for my thesis film, “A Man” which is about marriage, romance and mental health. 

I’m casting for the following characters:

1) FARRAH, 25-35, Black/African (Nigerian)

Observant and patient. With Kwei, she is mischievous and playful. A woman in love, but hurt and confused about her busband leaving her.

2) KWEI, 25-35, Black/African (Ghanaian)

Charming and disarming. His mental illness makes him insecure as he feels he has failed as a husband.

3) WAITER, Adult. 

Type: Short film, student film.

Genre: Drama/romance

Pay: deferred pay. We’ll cover transportation and lunch and be very respectful with time.
