It seems fixed, not possible to delete or to move it. If I change the VI background (using property from horizontal scroll bar > background ) it changes the background but this image is still present in front and the colour is changed behind. In the VI the controls used in the front panel were positioned on ths image. I'm not the original creator of this VI but I need to change it and I don't understand how to unlock it and remove it.

The author could have used property nodes to automatically load an image and set it as background. That would mean you need to remove this from the code. Doing a text search on the VI and sub VIs for "BackgroundImage" and "BackgroundMode" would probably locate them. There is of course the change that these properties are set by a VI that opens a reference to the VI (static or dynamically). That means more searching... A global search for the to strings might find the VI, but it could effect other VI backgrounds as well.

I wasn't able to find a good mix of sample points for my example file above, however, that adequately removed the gradient. I suspect the type of gradient present might require a more sophisticated approach to remove.

Remove background from images of humans, animals or objects and download high-resolution images for free. You can also edit photos as you like. It also supports developers in removing image backgrounds through API.

Precise control: Photoshop gives you precise control over removing the background. You can use the Magic Wand Tool to select the experience with a high degree of accuracy and the Pen Tool to create a vector mask that will hide the experience with precision.

Hello @HarryH, so your navigation has a box shadow applied to it that creates a contrast that makes the other sections appear as if they were not white, just remove the box shadow on your navbar and your sections will look white/transparent.

I have pasted a document into a confluence page and am editing it to be a confluence document.

The tables were all pasted with a black background (despite not having a black background in the original document)

I do not want to have to highlight each table separately to remove the background color.

Is there a way to remove cell background color from all tables in a page in a small number of movements?

Thank you for trying Laura, but this did not address my question at all.

I have a page with dozens and dozens of tables.

I will restate my question with emphasis on the points of confusion.

Q: Is there a way to remove ALL cell backgrounds from ALL tables in a page WITHOUT having to modify each table individually.

Apologies for missing the multiple tables part of your question Ryan. Unfortunately you aren't able to select multiple tables and change all cell backgrounds in one go. I've just tested it to make sure but you would need to change each table background individually.

My other suggestion would be to create the table in Confluence and then group paste the table content in instead of pasting the full table in - this should stop the black background appearing and take away the need to change the cells.

I copied and pasted the first main paragraph but didn't use Textedit because I am using it for another document which I can't close right now and can't change TextEdit to non plain text. I did paste the text into Bean text editor and it came through with a white background. Neither Bean nor Textwrangler show the presence of any invisible characters.

Converting to plain text is not a solution as there is other text in the document that I don't want stripped of formating. A workaround is to paste the text into a new document, make it plain text, then copy and paste into the real document. A lot of work just to try and remove a background.

I've been looking for info on this same question, because I used the typical copy and paste key commands to get something off a web page and into TextEdit, with the same issue: background color taking over all subsequent text that I typed.

I couldn't find "Font" nor "Remove Style" in my copy of TextEdit 1.5. Instead, I clicked on the pulldown menu in the upper left corner of the window of my document, which is labeled "Styles". With the text containing the offending background color selected, I then clicked on "Default" and the bad color went away. The help guide in TextEdit talks about "color wells" and "toolbars" but doesn't say what they are or how to access them.

I have found in a round about way how to solve the problem. Just copy the text into Powerpoint. The background colour will disappear. Then you just copy the text back into a Word document, adjust the font and size and off you go! Simples!

In the same way you could add an alpha channel to background making it transparent. To play with the whole procedure make an app to tune in the 3 parameters described above. Note the little piece of background in the left bottom corner is removed now by tuning background pixel parameter.

but the result is a bit disappointing. An obvious option is try next is "Uniform", not her uniform, but an option which identifies "a region of almost uniform colour". By default, all settings define the background to be removed:

RemoveBackground works well only when the foreground does not have the same (or very similar) color as the background. Here is an alternative approach using GrowCutComponents. Markers were generated using Mask Tool from Image Toolbar.

After you select a background text color for any text field, be it insight, or text box there is no option reset the background text. My only option is to change to whatever background the visual is using or recreate the visual. Is there a transparent hex code for QS? I have included an example below.

The background text used to be red, so when the background color was no longer necessary in the below visual (insight) we attempted to change it back to transparent and instead had to pick a hex color; so we picked that of the visual background (grey) and this does work:

I tried the magic select tool to select the white background, and I also tried the magic select tool with the shift key pressed to select all the white by color, I tried adjusting the tolerance; but I always am ending up with either very thin white border around the black text, or if I adjust tolerance, some of the black taken away making the text skewed.

Paint.net has a tool Magic Wand that select uni-color part, select with it and pres del. At the end don't forget to save as png. For blur parts you need to clear it zooming the image and use the eraser to remove manually the blurred parts

The plugin calculates deviation from a single RGB color, which in your case should be solid black, and applies that deviation as alpha channel variation to a solid image of the chosen color. As a result you should see your logo perfectly extracted and blended from the white background. It works with color images and other color pairs as well, but obviously the result is much different. If you have existing alpha values in the image, you can blend the alphas together. But I don't think it is the case for this question.

This seems like a bug to me. There already is a setting for showing background or not in the viewport. Overriding the setting just because there is a fog is redundant, non-intuitive and makes no one happy.

I think this is a better approach because transparent background contradicts the nature of fog. Fog occludes what is behind, a behavior which you desire on your building. Logically, the background (where there is no geometry) is completely occluded and opaque.

While I understand the logic behind fog contradicting a background it sure would be useful to combine them, and redundant to always hide the background, as there already is an option for whether the background should be shown.
