Avirtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.

Running or walking these virtual races on your own, or with friends! And your medal will be shipped directly to you. Complete a virtual 5K or 10k, or challenge yourself and complete our virtual half marathon! We have a variety of virtual running events to choose from!

The Army Ten-Miler, Virtual Edition registration will open on January 31, 2024. This event is a limited event with 2,000 slots and is expected to sell out. Please register early. There are no transfers between the Virtual and In-Person race events in 2024. All sales are final, no refunds and no deferrals will be permitted. There will be no Virtual Teams. The cost of the ATM Virtual registration is $89 plus processing fees until April 30, 2024. The price will increase to $99 plus processing fees, starting May 1, 2024. The Virtual Race Registration will remain open until sold out.

Runners may walk, run, run on a treadmill, or complete their virtual event using self-propelling cycles like recumbent/handcycles, wheelchairs, or, push-rim wheelchairs, etc. Runners may also complete the event at their own pace, in non-consecutive running sessions (for example; 2 miles a day for 5 days). Strollers are permitted during the Virtual Race at your own risk.

The address provided during registration will be used for shipping ATM Virtual Runner Packets and any merchandise purchased during ATM Registration, except Pasta Dinner tickets which must be picked up at the ATM Expo on October 11 & 12 at the DC Armory. ATM Virtual Race runner packet (including race shirt, coin, and bib) shipping dates are forthcoming and will be communicated directly to registered Virtual Race runners via email. Virtual Race runner packets will continue to ship in batches.

Please contact SureShip exclusively at sup...@army10.zendesk.com or via phone at (813) 321-4451, for all virtual runner packet inquiries. SureShip, the ATM shipping and fulfillment contractor, has the most up-to-date shipping information for all Virtual Race Packets and gear purchases including tracking numbers and shipping address details and corrections.

Submitting your virtual runner results is completely voluntary. Virtual Race is not officially scored and your results will not be ranked. Participants are not required to submit their results to receive their packets, including the finisher medal. If you choose to submit your results, you will not be scored nor evaluated by ATM's official timing contractor. The virtual race is a recreational run thus, you will not receive a rank/place in the ranked in-person race results. The virtual race will not count towards priority club membership.

We recommend downloading Active Experience app to time your race and to submit your results. If you do not wish to use the Active Experience app, you are welcome to use any other timing device that you would normally use to time your runs (i.e. Garmin, Strava, FitBit, Apple Watch, Android Watch, etc.) No Endorsement is implied by the Federal Government and the U.S. Army.

When running 10 miles over a few days (for example: 2 miles per day, over 5 days), you will need to use a fitness app or device that will allow tracking of multiple sessions. The ACTIVE Experience app can only be used for runners who are completing their race in one continuous session. If choosing to split up mileage for your race, please track your race on the fitness app or device of your choice. The virtual race is a recreational run thus, you will not receive a rank/place in the ranked in-person race results. The virtual race will not count towards priority club membership.

Started in 1985, the Army Ten-Miler (ATM) takes place each October in Washington, D.C. to promote the Army, build esprit de corps, support Army fitness goals, and enhance community relations. All race proceeds benefit Soldier MWR programs.

In "Lap of Legends," drivers from the past and present will come together for an epic showdown that celebrates the different eras of Formula 1 racing and the rich history of Williams Racing while spotlighting its roster of legendary drivers.

Heading into his second season, Logan Sargeant, F1's first American driver in almost eight years and the first full-time American driver in 16 years, will appear alongside six of the greatest F1 legends to ever hit the track to remind fans that even when the pressure is always on, we can all still enjoy the ride.

"Michelob ULTRA has a history of merging sports and innovation to deliver on the brand's point of view and offer unique experiences to fans everywhere," said Ricardo Marques, Vice President of Marketing for Michelob ULTRA. "We couldn't be more excited to bring 'Lap of Legends' to Formula 1 fans and fans of the brand, so they can feel closer to the intensity and passion of this exciting sport through this unique piece of entertainment alongside some of the most iconic names in Formula 1 history."

Made possible with the help of innovative technology, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality to bring legendary Williams Racing racers back to the track as virtual avatars, Michelob ULTRA analyzed every Grand Prix these legends raced in so these avatars can think, react, and drive just like the champions they represent.

The total research included more than 720 races, 1,260 hours of footage and 144,000 miles of racing to mimic the speed, racing style, technique, and strategy of these drivers and their cars. Everything that factored into these legends becoming icons on the racetrack was factored in to complete their virtual racer profile, including stamina, aggression, tire management, and reaction to the competition.

Michelob ULTRA developed a one-of-a-kind augmented reality helmet, which was tested on a track by legendary test driver, Ben "The Stig" Collins, and provided Logan Sargeant with a window into the virtual world of the legends competing with him on the track and fed him real-time information about the race.

"Lap of Legends" will be co-hosted by Jenson Button and Naomi Schiff, former racing driver and Formula 1 analyst for Sky Sports, who will be speaking to each of the drivers about their careers and experience making this first-ever real vs. virtual race. The race was filmed across various UK locations, including the Williams Racing HQ and Silverstone Circuit, home of the British Grand Prix.

"It has been an amazing experience working with Michelob ULTRA to develop 'Lap of Legends,' and I cannot wait for viewers to see the hard work and incredible technology that has gone into producing this," said Paul Asencio, Chief Revenue Officer of Williams Racing. He continued "To assemble the racing legends together that we have for this project takes something special, and it's a true testament not only to the strength of the project but to the heritage and importance of Williams Racing to Formula 1."

"Lap of Legends" was created in partnership with FCB New York and edited by The Mill. Check out the latest trailer here and learn more about the television special by visiting MichelobULTRA.com/lapoflegends or by following @MichelobULTRA on Facebook, X, Instagram, and YouTube.
