I have several albums loaded in Gallery3 and would like to reorganize the albums. Is it possible to move albums from album to inside another?

Yes, using the album organizer, which works through drag and drop. See thejigasaurus.com for examples of nested albums. With an album being viewed, select album / organize album.

Regards,

David Armstrong.

If you have the editowner module loaded, you can also change who owns the items or albums.

The album organizer is not letting me move an album into another album. When one album is dragged on top of the album I want to put it inside all that happens is the album position move to the other side in the grib listing. I recall in an older version of Gallery being able to reorganize using the folder tree of the albums.

I remember trying to do that myself a couple of years ago, and was confused why it wasn't working.

The trick, if I remember correctly, is not to drag your album from the left pane (to either the left or right pane) but to find the album on the right pane (by opening its parent album or root album) and dragging from right to left.

Make sense?

In case you don't have it, the module is just called "Organize" and I think it comes as default; not sure.

That was it. I was dragging every other way.

Thank you.
