Mr. William H. Owens
August 18, 1943 - May 01, 2010
It is with regret that we announce the death of Mr. William H. Owens, age 66, of Elora, TN, who passed away Saturday, May 01, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Owens was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, the son of the late Alvie & Emma Rhoden Owens. He was an Air Force veteran and of the Baptist faith. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Faye Jones, Ethel Smalley and brothers: Floyd & Ray Owens. Survivors include his daughters: Lisa Neely of Kelso, TN, Joyce Eason of Huntsville, AL; sons: James Owens of Meridianville, AL, Willie Owens of Fayetteville, TN; step-son: Jason Owens of Nashville, TN; grandchildren: Leo, Leslie, Deanna, Heather, Jessica, Camillia, Justin, Tyler, Travis, Madalyn; great grandchildren: Terris, Regn, Jailen, Kemoni, Deondre, CJ, Christian, Tessa, Cody; special caring ex-wife: Margrett Owens and long time friend: Bill Reid. A private service is planned for a later date.

Funeral services for Mr. Barry Thomas Moore, age 52, of Hazel Green, AL, who passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Fayetteville Rehab & Care Center, will be conducted Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Sonny Moore and Bro. Billy Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mr. Moore was a native of Madison Co, AL., the son of James Thomas & Gracie Cagle Moore. He was a draftsman. He was preceded in death by his mother: Gracie Cagle Moore; Grandparents: Lawrence & Clara Moore; and Step-Brother: Bobby Beck. Funeral services for Mr. George A. Harris, age 89, of New Market, AL, who passed away Monday, May 03, 2010 at the Huntsville Hospital, will be conducted Thursday, May 03, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. graveside in Taylor Cemetery with Bro. John Jones officiating and Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge of the services. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home. Mr. Harris was a native of Madison Co., AL, the son of the late Perry & Jennie Mae Norman Harris. He was a retired engineering technician for NASA, an Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post # 237. He is survived by his wife: Edith Ozell Honea Harris of New Market, AL; sisters: Estell Keel, Alice Jones, Mildred Williams all of New Market, AL, Geneva Brown of Fairhope, AL and several nieces and nephews. Lambert, age 81, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, May 04, 2010 at the Lincoln Care Center, will be conducted Saturday, May 08, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Bolin officiating. Burial will follow in Booneville Cemetery. Mrs. Lambert was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, the daughter of the late Ernest Bates and the late Alese Gray Bates Brown. She was a waitress and of the Baptist faith. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Jimmy Brown, Ernest Bates and 1 sister: Ruth Brown. Survivors include daughter: Judy Smart; son: Charles Wayne Bailey; sisters: Nancy Tucker, Gail Dale; brothers: Tommy Bates, Bill, Joe, Ronnie, Jackie, James & Frankie Brown; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members. Mr. Marlon O'Linger

Funeral services for Mr. Marlon J. O’Linger, age 66, of Hampton, GA, formerly of Flintville, who passed away Friday, May 7, in McDonough, GA, will be conducted Tuesday, May 11, at 2:00 o’clock in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Milton Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Flintville Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home. Mr. O’Linger was a native of Lincoln County; son of the late Pontiff & Minnie O’Linger; was a veteran of the US Air Force; retired as an aircraft foreman from Delta Airlines; and was a member of the Baptist church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: Michael Lee O’Linger. He is survived by his wife: Barbara Speck O’Linger of Hampton, GA; daughter: Joanna O’Linger of Hampton, GA; sons: Steven (Natalie) O’Linger of Thomaston, GA, Christopher O’Linger of Williamson, GA; and grandchildren: Kaylee Ward, Hailey, Emily & Lauren O’Linger.

Funeral services for Mr. Larry J. Land, age 67, of Hazel Green, AL, who passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at his residence, will be conducted Friday, May 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Terry Campbell and Rev. Buddy Alverson officiating and Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Church on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Mr. Land was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, the son of Inez Campbell Land and the late Clarence Edward Land, Jr. He was an electrician, a member of the IBEW Local #175 of Chattanooga, TN, and a member of the Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife: Elizabeth Ann Land of Hazel Green, AL; daughter: Michelle Shaw & husband: Donny of Hazel Green, AL; sons: Tony Land & wife: Barsha of Hazel Green, AL, Jason Caddy & wife: Tina of St. Louis, MO, Matthew Caddy of Huntsville, AL; mother: Inez Campbell Land of Hazel Green, AL mother-in-law: Jean Snoddy of Troy, AL and 5 grandchildren. He was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services for Mr. Thomas ‘Tommy’ Davis, age 73, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Sunday, May 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Rev. Ennis Hyman officiating. Burial will follow in Rowland Hills Cemetery. Mr. Davis was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, the son of Allie Davis & the late Charlie E. Davis. He worked in the press department at Martin Industries. He was a member of the Harmony Hill Church of God. Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a son: Danny Davis, and one granddaughter. Survivors include his wife: Alice Davis; daughters: Lisa Simmons, Jeannie Hudson; sons: Charlie Davis, Michael Davis; mother: Allie Davis all of Fayetteville, TN; sister: Brenda Jackson of Hickson, TN; 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and special friends. Danny Hale officiating. Mr. Redd was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, the son of the late Massey & Blanche Shelley Redd. He worked as a salesman and was a member of the Charity Baptist Church.
