Mrs. Virginia Brazier

December 24, 1922  -  September 01, 2009

                 Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Brazier, age 86, of Toney, AL, who passed away Thursday, September 01, 2009 at her residence, will be conducted Thursday, September 03, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Steve Hale and Rev. Buddy Alverson officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, AL. Mrs. Brazier was a native of Madison Co., AL, the daughter of the late Henry & Lillie York Baltimore. She was a school teacher for the Madison County Board of Education and a member of the Plainview Church of Christ. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 son:  Jerry Boyett and 4 grandchildren. Survivors include her husband:  James Brazier of Toney, AL; 6 daughters:  Charlotte Lindsey of Oden Ridge, AL, Iva Jones of Hazel Green, AL, Brenda Meeks of Cullman, AL, Libby & Bill Smith of Flintville, TN, Sharon East of Huntsville, AL, Cathy Boyett of Toney, AL; 1 son:  Milton Boyett of Fayetteville, TN; 23 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Larry Woods

May 08, 1948  -  September 04, 2009F

                 Funeral services for Mr. Larry Woods, age 61, of Toney, AL, who passed away Friday, September 04, 2009, at his residence, will be conducted Monday, September 07, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Benny Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, AL. Mr. Woods was a native of Limestone Co., AL, the son of the late Shields Edward & Willie Ruth Lee Woods. He was a construction superintendent. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 daughter:  Tonya Woods & 4 brothers: Buddy, Bobby, Bill & Dwight Woods. Survivors include his wife: Carol Woods; daughters: Stepheny Gregory, Brandie Garner & Brittany Woods all of Toney, AL; sons:  Tonis Woods of Huntsville, AL & Shields Woods of Toney, AL; grandchildren:  Angelena, Victoria, Paisley, Erik, Braden, Joshua, Hayden & Owen; sisters:  Betty Kitten of Boulevard, CA, Kaye Martinez, Terri Counts both of Kingsford Heights, Indiana and brother: Allen Woods of Kingsford Heights, Indiana. Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.

 

Mrs. Shirley Neece

March 20, 1937  -  September 06, 2009

                 It is with regret that we announce the death of Mrs. Shirley Neece, age 72, of Dellrose, TN, who passed away Sunday, September 06, 2009, at the Golden Living Center in Winchester, TN. Mrs. Neece was a native of Blacksville, WV, the daughter of the late George & Bonnie Mae Cummins Park. She was of the Methodist faith. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Ollie J. Neece, Jr. She is survived by her daughter:   Robin Nolan and sons: Barry & Daryl Fox. There is no memorial service planned at this time. Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home is assisting the family.

 

Mr. Bobby C. Sanders

July 23, 1951  -  September 07, 2009

                 Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Clark Sanders, age 58, of Fayetteville, who passed away Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, at Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bros. Sonny Moore & Billy Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Grove Cemetery.  Mr. Sanders was a native of Lincoln County, Tn.; son of Hazel Lee Sanders Carter; was a farmer & a former employee with Lincoln Farmers Coop;& a member of the Full Gospel Church.  He was preceded in death by 3 Sisters: Annie Bell Crabtree, Sarah Kent, & Jo Dean Roland; 3 Brothers: Phillip Ellis Carter, Charles Edward Carter, & Earl Carter.  Survivors include his wife: Anna Bea Riggins Sanders of Fayetteville; 1 Daughter: Tammy Sanders McConnell of Dothan, AL.; 2 Sons: Bobby Dwight Sanders of Toney, Al. & Phillip James Sanders of Fayetteville, Tn.;his mother: Hazel Lee Sanders Carter of Fayetteville; 1 Sister: Elnora Bolin of Petersburg, Tn.; 1 Brother: Sam Carter of Fayetteville, TN.; 9 Grandchildren; 4 Step-Grandchildren.  Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.

 

Ms. Marcia Hayes

May 16, 1961  -  September 11, 2009

                 Funeral services for Mrs. Marcia Elizabeth Hayes, age 47, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Friday, September 11, 2009, at her residence, will be conducted Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Elder Craig Carmichael officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Mrs. Hayes was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, the daughter of Clarence & Lois Dangerfield of Fayetteville, TN. She was a member of the New Hope P.B. Church and a former cashier at the VA Hospital in Murfreesboro. Along with her parents, she is survived by 1 daughter: Lois Bianca Hayes; 2 brothers: Robert Dangerfield & Darrell (Odessa) Dangerfield all of Fayetteville, TN. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from noon until 1 p.m. at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.

 

 

Mr. Joe Neal

February 05, 1964  -  September 12, 2009

                 Funeral services for Mr. Joe Neal, age 45, of Kelso, TN, who passed away Saturday, September 12, 2009 at his residence, will be conducted Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lexie Crossroads Cemetery.  Mr. Neal was a native of Blount Co., TN, the son of the late Thomas Max Neal & the late Shirley Ann Porter Albert. He worked in cable construction. Survivors include his wife: Ann Neal of Kelso, TN; sons: Eric Lee Neal of Fayetteville, TN, Shawn A. Vangorder & wife: Crystal of Kelso, TN; sister: Janet Renee Darnell of Lewisburg, TN; brother:  Keith Neal of Fayetteville, TN and several aunts, uncles & cousins. Mr. P.J. Patterson

January 13, 1919  -  September 12, 2009

                 Funeral services for Mr. P.J. Patterson, age 90, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Saturday, September 12, 2009, at the Donalson Care Center, will be conducted Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Hovis officiating. Burial will follow in Blanche Cemetery. Mr. Patterson was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, the son of the late J.W.  & Mary Anderson Patterson. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his daughters: Ruby Cowan of Taft, TN, Leona Cowan of Fayetteville, TN; sons:  Shirley Patterson of Taft, TN, Sherman Patterson of Paris, TN; sister:  Clara Curtis of Fayetteville, TN; brother:  Oscar Lee Patterson of Ardmore, TN. Mrs. Lorna M. Guiles

February 11, 1934  -  September 12, 2009

                 Memorial services for Mrs. Lorna M. Guiles, age 75, of Taft, TN, who passed away Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, will be conducted Sunday, September 27, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Stateline Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Tracy Carvell officiating. Mrs. Guiles was a native of California, the daughter of the late Henry Utter and the late Dorothy Mae Wanger Gaskill. She was a waitress and a member of the Stateline Seventh Day Adventist Church. Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband:   Richard N. Guiles and son: Robert James (Jimmy) Stevens. Survivors include 2 daughters:  Lori L. & William Stonebraker, Robin R. & Mike Salinas; grandchildren: Scott H. Straub, Matthew L. Straub, Bill W. Stonebraker, II, Moriah M. Stonebraker, Robert S. Stonebraker, Samantha R. Stonebraker, Kristen Burkhardt, Julia M. Croft; great grandchildren:  Brandon H. Straub, Destiny M. Self, Kyera M. Carr, Coby R. Mr. Claude McGehee

                 Funeral services for Mr. Claude McGehee, age 87, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Monday, September 21, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Basham & Bro. Jim Gault officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. McGehee was a native of Estill Forks, AL, the son of the late Edward Dalton & Lily Mae Money McGehee. He was a graphic engineer, a member of the Flintville First Baptist Church and a World War II Navy veteran. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years: Jettye Lee Good McGehee, 3 brothers: Paul, Fred & Bill McGehee  and 1 sister: Annette Wilkins. Survivors include 3 daughters: Penny Romeo & husband: Jim of Kingsport, TN, Cathy Jennings & husband: George of Fayetteville, TN, Patti Jo Gilstorf & husband: David of McMinnville, TN; 1 son: Michael McGehee & wife: Lana of Runaway Bay, TX; 9 grandchildren: Chris Pullum, Toni Romeo, Amy Herron & husband: Josh, Mac Jennings & wife: Beverly, Liza Buchanan & husband: Nathan, Joe Jennings & wife: Mindy, Charlie Walker & wife: Julie, Luke Walker, Lorin Walker; 2 sisters: Maude Gephart of New Lenox, IL, Jean Gurtler of Schererville, IL and 8 great grandchildren. Mr. Billy Joe Jordan

June 30, 1938  -  September 21, 2009

                 Funeral services for Mr. Billy Joe Jordan, age 71, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Lincoln Care Center, will be conducted Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Powell and Bro. Sonny Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Cemetery. Mr. Jordan was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, the son of the late Earl & Katie Sue Moran Jordan. He was a truck driver and a member of the Father's House Pentecostal Church. He is survived by his wife of 44 years: Sue Simms Jordan of Fayetteville, TN; 1 sister:  Katherine Cowley of Fayetteville, TN; 1 brother: Alton Jordan of Elora, TN and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.

                 Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Sue Miller, age 88, of Elora, TN, who passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the Donalson Skill Care Center, will be conducted Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elora Cemetery. Mrs. Miller was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, the daughter of the late Robert & Essie Pearl Pitts Moorehead. She was a farmer and of the Baptist faith. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: John Paul Miller; sister: Vonnell Staton; brothers: Robert, Ray, Charles, James, Bill, Glen, Dylan & Don Moorehead. Survivors include 2 sisters: Willa Jones of Elora, TN, Juanita Stockbridge of Park City, TN; 2 brothers: Jerry Moorehead, Dwight Moorehead both of Elora, TN; caretakers: Jeff & Melody Land of Elora, TN; special nephew: Marty Moorehead and a host of nieces and nephews.                  Funeral services for Mr. Everett A. Bolton, Jr., age 65, of Taft, TN, who passed away Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Donalson Skill Care Center, will be conducted graveside Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wright Cemetery with Pastor Fred Gipson officiating and Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bolton was a native of Louisville, KY, the son of the late Everett A. & Orena’ Jane Cauddil Bolton, Sr. He was employed at the Redstone Arsenal, a Navy veteran and of the Pentecostal faith. He is survived by his wife: Debra Mitchell Bolton of Taft, TN; 2 daughters:  Elisa Downing of Dunnellon, FL, Dana Smith of Glen Falls, NY; 2 sisters:  Rena Jane Brantener, Jackie McCulley and 4 grandchildren. There will be no visitation prior to the service.

                 Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Knowles, age 87, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at her residence, will be conducted Friday, September 25, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. graveside in Riverview Memorial Gardens with Bro. Sonny Moore officiating and Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Knowles was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, the daughter of the late Robert D. & Angelee Bates Thornton. She was a seamstress for Jonathan Logan and was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Mrs. Knowles was preceded in death by her husband: James Leon Knowles; sisters: Frances Shelton & Lorraine Haynie; 3 brothers: J.B. Thornton, James 'Pug’ Thornton & Richard ‘Dick’ Thornton. She is survived by 2 sons:  Phillip Knowles & wife: Diane, Ricky Knowles & wife: Freddie all of Fayetteville, TN; grandchildren: Nicole, Lynn, Greg, Michelle, Raquel, Heather & Josey; sister: Martha Kyle of Eugene, Oregon; special caregiver: Margie Zeitner and 9 great grandchildren.
