Galen integration with Robot framework

Hi All,

         we have been using Robot Framework(http://robotframework.org/) as our functional automation suite for quite a long time and recently we considered layout testing of our application using Galen framework.  we initially planned that we'll perform both(functional, layout) testings via robot framework i.e. integrating galen framework within robot suite but that didn't work as the browser session is different for robot and for galen. i was wondering if there is any alternate way to do the same(share browser session between robot and galen framework) without having two different suite for functional and layout testing.
