Hi Lothar, Dave, and Andrew,

I can tell you that my brother told me that he designed them to be horizontal because he thought the dispersion characteristics were better, especially when placed in a larger room. Also, I think he liked how they looked better in that orientation. However, I also recall seeing his speakers in a vertical orientation in at least one of the many apartments he had in different places in the USA besides his London flat. Sometimes, space factors and practicality win out, even for Ira.

INTERESTING ! 

So what did we learn ?  It is mostly a matter of space or taste, so as I said: Do what you like, test both ways and choose the one that suits you best for whatever reason !

Good to hear from you....and still patiently waiting for the book of all books!  :)))
