I recently doped my GS401B woofers with Visaton LTS 50. Gives a similar dark shiny look to my GS402B speakers. Reason for doing was that the paper speaker cones were looking a little fragile?  and very pale. Reseach online suggested that this was the stuff to use. German distributor but one source in Australia. Did two thin coats. I don't think its had any influence on the sound of the speakers but not 100% sure. Anyone used this doping?

The cones in my 402s were heavily doped (looks as if it was applied with a brush!) and I’ve often wondered why they did this. I assume it must affect the sound?

Two of these originals are still working well, along with a couple of replacements, supplied by David.
