Sorry, I'm new to googlecode, so hopefully this is the right place for
this question. Please correct me if its not.

Is the read-only repository the same code as the actual repository? I
checked it out and I'm getting segfaults running the client. I tracked
it down to the call in push_clip to glScissor(). I'm assuming its
something wrong with my setup.

The actual error I'm getting is:
Fatal Python error: (pygame parachute) Segmentation Fault

Thanks for any help.

Hello!
Yes, the read-only is the exact same as the regular code.
Probably you have something incorrect with your libraries, probably
versions.
Otherwise we may need to look deeper to figure out what the problem is
- it could be the readme is incorrect about some dependencies...
But I am basically using the latest (or second latest) version of
Pygame, Python 2.5 (2.6 should work as well though, test anyone?), the
latest PyOpengl (this could be the problem, some API things change
regularly with them, and *I* may not have the latest stuff...)

Numpy, twisted and PIL are also requirements, and any newish version
of them should function well.

Hope that helps!

Hi John,

Yes the read-only repository is the same. Make sure you have the
newest version of the code. I'm at revision 507 and have been working
on the code today.

That being said, we are in the process of porting our client to 3D, so
game play will not work. For an game play you will want to check our
Pyweek submission: http://pyweek.org/e/gmrs/

Let me know if you need more help,

Robert

Here are the versions I'm running:
Python 2.6.6
pygame 1.9.1
numpy 1.3.0
twisted 10.1.0
PIL ?
OpenGL 3.0.1

I'm assuming PyOpengl is the same as the OpenGL module I import in python.

Also, I couldn't figure out which version of PIL I have installed - it should be fairly recent.

Robert,
I think you are saying that the game doesn't run for anybody right now (at least, the latest version). Am I understanding you correctly?

I'd like to help out, but I haven't done much work in graphics before, so I'm not sure I'd be much help in that department.

John,
That's great, you can join our irc channel, #galaxymage on freenode
for "real-time" help (if anyone else is there). RB or Archwyrm will
have to add you as a committer so you can make changes.

Those versions look right. Have you updated your source? Are you still
getting the same error?
