Hey, I just realised that someone named Zarevucky.Jiri is updating the
SVN of galaxium with bug fixes and so. Galaxium could be one of the
best IM clients in Linux, it's too bad that the original devs don't
have time to continue with the project but it's great that someone is
working on galaxium.
I was thinking if it was possible to make galaxium not only support
Adium Message Styles, but also support Adium's Contact List styles.
It'd be great since galaxium could have a very big database of
themes.

thanks.

Hello. It's nice someone noticed. :)
Right now I'm working almost exclusively on a completely new XMPP
support, which can take some time. Also, there are many unresolved
issues, that need to be addressed before any further additions.
However, feel free to add an enhancement request here ->
http://code.google.com/p/galaxium/issues/list , I'm sure it will get
some attention once more important matters are finished.

By the way... you don't have a C# programmer friend on Linux eager to
help with the development, do you? :)

No, I don't have one :S. Anyways, I'm sure if Galaxium stops looking
like a dead project (for example, doing some updates to it's main
page) and after it gets a review in some blogs so that it gets
promoted the developers will appear. Again, Thanks for working on
galaxium :P

Galaxium has been around since 2003. We have even been approached by
Mandriva wayyyy back in the day.

We also were featured in many blogs at one point, but as things progressed,
as I went to post secondary education, along with Paul and Ben too, we just
kinda drifted. We used to work on this everyday of the week, night and day.
It used to be VERY active.

I kinda miss it.

You forgot that it's a while I'm working on a Debian package... which is quite
stable, waiting to be uploaded ;)

Galaxium rested long enough, gathering strength. Now it's time to
arise like a Phoenix from it's own dust!

...well... perhaps not so poetic... but you got the general idea :-P

Crap, you found my weakness :), I can't stay away from Galaxium if
others are actively working on it.

I just committed my first 2 patches since ... well since a very long
time.

It's good to be back :)

Damn, and I was thinking I won't have to sync my working copy for at
least a month :D
Now really... that's great! I really hope it lasts ;)

I'm not a programmer... but it's really good to see people getting back to work on Galaxium!
Good work!
