Hello. I'd like to help with the development, especially the XMPP
protocol support. I have no experience with Mono.Addins, so I could
use some guidance. Is there some dedicated IRC or XMPP chatroom for
developer communication? I hope this project is still alive and
kicking.. :)

There is a pretty good introduction to Mono.Addins that you can find
here: http://www.mono-project.com/Mono.Addins
Though you don't actually need to know a lot about Mono.Addins, most
of the "difficult" stuff is already written, using it to support new
protocols / extend existing protocols is fairly simple

Anyway, just drop by on our IRC channel and we will try to get you
started :)

Yeah, well.. I guess I don't need that much of addins introduction..
rather I need someone to explain to me, how exactly does the protocol
handling works in Galaxium generally.. :) see you on the IRC then...
and by the way.. it needs an XMPP chatroom anyway.. ;)

I have installed Ubuntu 8.10 and all the fixins and have checked out
galaxium anew to see where things are at. Any questions just let me
know. I'm trying to poke at Paul and Ben to help me out to get back
into things.

Maybe Galaxium can make a comeback.
