Brother,

I appreciate the iron sharpening iron.

I am not delighted with the questions for this section; I solicit
better ones that you may have as you go through the passage.

1) What does the process of being "bewitched" look like? How does/
could it happen? What are necessary ingredients? What are necessary
symptoms?
2) What is the truth they are not obeying? (3:1)
3) If there is one element of the gospel that the Galatians have
dropped, what is it? What is the single biggest chunk of the gospel
that has been eliminated?
4) In talking directly to the Galatians, what is at the heart of his
point or confrontation?
5) Why dies he reference the salvation experience to "receiving the
spirit?"
6) What is the proper way of "receiving the spirit?" What is the
improper way?
7) What two components are present when Paul describes the beginning
of these Galatian believer's new life?
8) What's the "hard swallow" for the Galatians in vss 3:6-8?
9) What's the good news/bad news/good news contrast in vss 3:6-14?
10) What does it look like in 2009 when someone is pursuing
righteousness by fulfilling the law?

Caveat:
If you look at any of these questions and ask, "What is he (jkoch)
getting at?" or "What point is he trying to make?" then just pass them
by and move on to the next. A good question should be self-evident
and direct the observer to the passage, not to my intentions or points
I am trying to make.

I say this because some of these questions reflect a personal
discovery I made during my study. These discoveries may not be the
core purpose of Paul's intent which is more important.

Blessings!
Justin
