Hello my dears!
Thank you all for working together to help us address some of our current concerns in our Dive Team. I wanted to follow up with you all after my conversation with Laura yesterday as I learned 2 things:
  1. Vic does not do the thing we thought it did. There is not a way for the system to limit the number of shifts someone signs up for in a specific assignment (ie. OV).  It is currently set to not allow someone to sign up for more than 15 shifts in a single 24-hour period.... Which doesn't really help us here.
  2. Laura's comment regarding her frustrations with the dive team is true but not to be taken to the extreme. She expressed that we along with other volunteer teams within the aquarium can be at times a bit difficult, but there is not one or a few divers causing any strife or struggle. The biggest thing that was mentioned was the fact that anytime our volunteers approach her or her staff- it's always with a question, concern, or complaint rather than a "Hey, how are you?" or some other sort of sweet nothing-which in time lends itself to lead a negative perception of our team.
With that being said, feel free to go hang out, say hi, and meet their staff member, Tia Chism.

Appreciate you all!
