Hello Friends!
I am reaching out to you to inform you on some changes happening amongst the Volunteer Dive team that are slowly moving into action. Some of you may already be in the know, but if you are not, I will brief you a bit on the happenings.

I am restructuring the team a bit to implement more leadership level roles amongst the Volunteers to help us streamline communication and training efforts. Your seniors/upper management played a big role earlier this year in identifying 5 volunteers per department to enlist as Volunteer Dive Leaders to represent the varying teams found here at the Aquarium (MB, OV, F&I). Below are the individuals that were selected.
Mammals & Birds Ocean Voyager Fish & Inverts
Andrew Agustin
Andrew Agustin Perry Walter
Diedre Agustin Diedre Agustin Jim Demmers
Amy Norris
Ivan Kahn Molly Burke
Greg Norris Joerg Grau Cherie Everhart
Tom Verkooijen Marshall Goldman David Garton

Ultimately each Volunteer Leadership Team is helping us out with the following:
  • Communicating habitat updates/gear requests for the vols
  • Assisting with training endeavors
  • Communicating concerns/ ideas per department
  • Being a part of the decision making on behalf of the team  (Yearly commitments, Blitz dives, etc.)
  • Being leaders for our team as a whole, setting the standards and leading by example
So where do each of you come in? You have either selected yourself or have been selected by your direct supervisor to be the contact person for each Volunteer Team. What does that mean? Essentially, they look to you to help set standards for the volunteers within each of your realms- the how to's, the how not to's, the good, and the bad. They want to make sure that they, as well as the rest of the Volunteer Dive Team, are upholding your highest standards. Below are the Staff point personnel for each department.

I have cc'd each of their group emails here for your reference should you need to communicate with all 5 of them for any given reason. They are listed below as well for an easy reference.

I appreciate your help in this volunteer restructure, please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, comments, or criticisms!
Warmest,
Felicia
