I have been looking around the files for a while now and I cannot figure out a way to disable the thruster system or wall running in BO3 mp. I am creating a mod for BO3 mp that is going to have boots on the ground gameplay and would like to remove both of these things from the mod. I am not a scripter by any means so I am not entirely sure what to do lol. If you know something that would be helpful, please let me know! thank you! :)

Yeah I looked in the mods folder and there was only zone and zone source folders to begin with. I added a sound folder for the weapon sounds, but I don't see a script folder anywhere. I assume I could build one if done the right way, but I am wayyy too noob and don't know how to do this stuff haha.

Yeah I have looked in there a couple different times. It puts mods in a completely different folder since it is not a map technically, even though a map is a mod as well. This is a multiplayer gameplay mod I am working on. But yeah, no script folder or files haha. Just zone and csv stuff for the most part then a few odds and ends. I'm sure it uses scripts from the share directory, but none that are generated by the modtools launcher when creating maps that I am aware of. Idk if you can set variables in zone files or not. I'll keep playing around with it, but if you know something that would help, then by all means please do haha.

you see, i always thought that even mods have .gsc and .csc files. But i guess not. I have put them in my test map but just set them to 'true' and they work fine; they were taken from the core multiplayer scripts. try maybe getting the zone file to target like a duplicate of the core mp file and maybe then we'll see what happens.

ps. giving a tutorial on how to do this is going to be way too much to type, Sorry.

You create the folders...

and you copy a script that is already loaded to your mod so you can override it - then hook from it as a point of entry

maps and mods are totally different. You can run a mod on top of a map

they are recognized and i told you already - it doesnt GENERATE any scripts

you have to find one that is loaded already - and OVERRIDE it with your own

use _load.gsc / csc or something

they are not variables either - they are dvars

First, I just want to say thank you for helping out you guys. It has been appreciated a lot and is a good learning experience. Secondly, I am not sure how to do that lol. I'll play around with it and see what I can figure out, but not sure if I will get anywhere haha. True yeah you're right it's not a variable.. It's a Developer Variable I believe haha

We need to move some files from one location to another within our Isilon cluster. These are department folders ranging from 3GB up to 20+GB in size. I have been moving them via my desktop's Windows Explorer via Cut and Paste during off hours to lessen any user disruption. Is there an easier/quicker way to do this via CLI? For example: we are moving departmentA's folder from \\Isilon\ifs$\Spokane\S\DepartmentA to \\Isilon\ifs$\cluster\Spokane\DepartmentA

Right. You can't do a simple rename between quota domains; it requires a copy/delete operation. Renames are essentially instantaneous, copy/delete can be quite time consuming depending on the content.

It is worthwhile to run a test though, as the others have said, if there are quotas, permissions, zones, or other unforseen details of these files, give the mv a try. Inspect the resulting files at the target in comparison to what you've been copying with Windows. Same permissions? Quota issues? Other issues?

Prod application directory is replicated to cluster B once a day. From time to time we need to refresh dev instance with data from prod. Since my prod data is already on cluster B, i use syncIQ and copy the data internally. Basically i use my SyncIQ read-only target of prod data as my SyncIQ source for this internal copy. This directory is getting bigger and bigger so this syncIQ copy takes longer and longer every time we have to refresh this dev environment. Peter suggestions would be great but i don't think that would that work if my source is read only and my source is not going away and will be changing during next SyncIQ cycle ?

One item to keep in mind here is that if you move a directory outside of the share path, to another share, it may not immediately cause any client disconnects. This is because what the user has open is actually the filehandle, not the path, and moving the directory doesn't change the filehandle. So until the SMB session dies, access may still be available to users that have open sessions in one manner or another. So test this, and if you need, you can use isi smb sessions perhaps with isi_for_array to force-close sessions.

- Unzip the contents of the CoTZ release download to the install location of your choice. There is no installer, so once unzipped the game will be ready to play. NOTE: CoTZ is a standalone game. Do not install on top of CoP or CoC. Install it into its own folder.

- CoTZ is now ready to play. Start a new game, select your faction, name, player icon, and starting location. Check your PDA for the location of the first contact that will begin your journey into the Zone.

A perfect mod! This mod tells everything about why you don't always need to have the most HD wpn pack to get the best stalker experience of all mods, this is the most balanced and stable coc based mod you will ever play, at the expense of having to deal with vanilla cop weapons.

If you have a decent pc like mine you can install TwoK Texture pack that replaces all those old vanilla textures so you get something close to Anomaly in terms of graphics but with better stability (barely no ctd's).

Hi Doc
yes, game installed in own folder. Tried to run multiple times but still continually CTD. Intro pic shows, then black screen for a second, then CTD. Also redownloaded & reinstalled but no joy. Regards.

ok i juust came up with solution, if u unpack this to precreated folfer, for example "D -> folder -> stalker call of the zone" it wont work, but if u just cut it out and put just "D -> stalker call of the zone" it will launch correctly

1st: sometimes when i am in mainmenu and go back to game, the mouse Cursor is displayed at the left side of the crossair and wont leave till i Restart the game.
2nd: Broken Mission "recover gunsmith tool for xenotech"...when i Approach the Bandit guy in agroprom, the quest marker Points to his corpse (he was dead on Arrival), but searching him just Shows Nothing, especially not the gunsmith Tools...when i drag the corpse, the quest marker moves to the same place, so it must be connected to the Body.....

1. I've seen that happen once or twice. Not sure what's causing it but I'll look into it.
2. The toolkit might be on another member of his squad if any are still left alive, or it could have failed to spawn properly. Try quicksaving and reloading and see if the icon marker moves to another target. If not, you can just go back to Xenotech and tell him you couldn't complete the task. He'll re-offer the same task after a few hours.
3. No disguise system. Your faction relations with the Bandits might have increased to where you are neutral with them now. Even if Loners and Bandits are still enemies, if they are on the verge of becoming neutral your personal reputation can give your relations enough of a boost to make you neutral or allied before the rest of your faction.

Yup. Faction relations can and will change throughout the game, and not all of it is under your control. Not only are you fighting with other factions, but they are all fighting with each other. Anytime someone kills someone else in the Zone, it affects the relations between factions, regardless of if it was you or an npc that did the killing.

Is there a way to download some graphical pack that makes it look normal? Mod is awesome, but I can't stand this high contrast bollocks that comes up from CoC, it ruins the game for me, everything is either pitch black or bright, it looks like shite

I kept the vanilla weapons (with enhanced textures) since everyone has their own taste as far as which weapons pack they like the most, so I left it open to the addon developers. lokStre recently added one: Moddb.com and I'm sure there will be plenty of others added in the future.
