Ineed to get a Schengen visa to stay in Germany for 6 nights in mid-Rhineland area (Koblenz and vicinity). In Schengen visa application, there is a section for "reference" (german Referenz (Angaben zu einladender Person/Institution)), where you are supposed to put your hotel name, registry name (Name des Registers der Organisation) and number the hotel has in this particular registry (Registernummer). The registries proposed in the VIDEX form are:
Online registration is available through Georgia Tax Center (GTC), a secure electronic customer self-service portal. After your online submission, you should receive your specific tax account number within 15 minutes by email.
Any individual or entity meeting the definition of "dealer" in O.C.G.A. 48-8-2 must register for a sales and use tax number and certificate of registration regardless of whether all sales will be online, out of state, wholesale, or exempt from tax.
Amusement machines are defined as machines of any kind or character used by the public to provide amusement or entertainment whose operation requires payment or insertion of a coin, bill, or other money, token, ticket, or in part, upon the skill of the player, whether or not it affords an award to a successful player.
Housing for the 2024 ASHA Convention in Seattle, Washington will open on August 1, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., Eastern time. On that morning, we will post a link to the online reservations system on this webpage.
To help you plan in advance, we have a preliminary list of the official hotels (with rates) [PDF] that we'll be using for the 2024 ASHA Convention in Seattle. You will be able to book a room at the negotiated ASHA rates through our housing reservation service.
View the interactive map of the official hotels with walking distances or a PDF map of the neighborhood. (Distances are mapped to the main entrances of the Seattle Convention Center and there may be other entrances that are closer to the hotels.)
All official ASHA Convention hotels comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act. If you have a mobility challenge, you may rent a scooter or wheelchair through Scootaround to help you navigate the ASHA Convention. (Read more about accessibility at ASHA's live events for information about reasonable requests for accommodations.)
Although your ASHA account number is not required to make hotel reservations, we strongly encourage you to provide it to help us track housing information. If you do not have your ASHA account number on hand when you make your reservations, you can add it later by logging back into the reservations system.
Once you have completed your reservation, you will receive a confirmation email from
email_...@confmail.experient-inc.com. Be sure to check your junk or spam folder and add this address to your safe senders.
The confirmation email provides your Maritz Confirmation ID for referencing this reservation when making changes through ASHA's housing service. This is not your hotel confirmation number. You will receive an email directly from your hotel on or after November 21, 2024 with your official hotel confirmation number.
After your reservation has been confirmed, you may modify or cancel your reservation by logging into the Housing Attendee Service Center via the link in your confirmation message, or email customer service at
ASHA...@maritz.com. Reservation changes or cancellations should be made through Maritz through Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
Hotel cancellations must be made no later than 72 hours prior to your arrival date. Cancellation within 3 days, or failure to check in on your scheduled day of arrival, will result in a one-night's room and tax penalty charged by the hotel to the credit card used for guarantee. In addition, please be sure to verify check out dates at check-in, as an early check-out may result in an early-departure fee. Beginning Monday, November 25, 2024, changes and cancellations must be made directly with your hotel.
Cancelling a hotel room does not automatically cancel your ASHA Convention registration, and cancelling your registration does not automatically cancel your hotel room. If you need to cancel, be sure to follow the cancellation process for both registration and hotel reservations individually.
Sometimes, a hotel may not have availability for the entire length of your stay. For example, the hotel may have rooms available on the main nights of your stay (Thursday and Friday of the ASHA Convention), but might have limited availability at the beginning or end of your requested dates. In this instance, you will see the Waitlist icon appear, which will allow you to complete your reservation. Please allow up to one week for us to work with the hotels to fulfill waitlist requests before you book an alternate reservation.
ASHA's housing service will close on Thursday, November 21, 2024. After that date, our housing provider will begin transferring all reservations data to the hotels and you will receive your official hotel confirmation number. Beginning Monday, November 25, 2024, reservation changes and cancellations must be made directly with your hotel.
A Roommate Matching forum to help you find a roommate has been set up on the ASHA Community site. The forum is member-led, so feel free to start a discussion with your dates of stay or join an already existing post! (Please note that the ASHA Community is restricted to ASHA members and NSSLHA members only.)
Sometimes, ASHA is alerted that an unauthorized housing company is contacting our exhibitors or attendees to inform them that they can offer less expensive room rates at hotels in our block. You may also encounter fraudulent websites promoting housing reservations for ASHA. Maritz Global Events is the only official housing company for ASHA. They will not solicit you and you can only navigate to their hotel reservations website through our own website,
convention.asha.org. If you receive a call or e-mail from any company that is not our official housing provider or find a suspicious website, please contact us immediately at
conve...@asha.org.
ASHA will be using both buildings of the Seattle Convention Center for education sessions and activities. The buildings are NOT connected and can only be accessed from the street level. Make sure to refer to activity locations listed in the Program Planner or mobile app so you know how to find the nearest entrance to your destination. (Individuals with mobility needs may wish to consider renting a scooter to facilitate transitions between the buildings.)
King County Metro Transit provides bus service in downtown Seattle and outlying neighborhoods in King County. The convention center stop is the Westlake Station on the 1 Line towards 'Northgate.' Both Arch and Summit buildings are 5 minutes away.
Sound Transit's Link light rail makes trips from Angle Lake Station to the Northgate Station through downtown Seattle, making 16 stops along the way, including downtown Seattle and SEA Airport. Trains arrive every 8 to 15 minutes, depending on the time of day, and take about 40 minutes to travel between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and Westlake Station in downtown Seattle.
Seattle Streetcars are accessible and easy to board for all users. Bicycles and service animals are permitted aboard. The First Hill Line connects to the Link light rail at the Capitol Hill and International District stations, the Sounder Commuter Rail and Amtrak intercity rail at the King Street Station, and Metro Transit buses at several points.
Seattle Center Monorail travels between Westlake Center in downtown and Seattle Center at the base of Queen Anne hill. Westlake Center is 6 minutes away from both Summit and Arch Convention Center Buildings. Trains depart every 10 minutes, and the trip takes only 2 minutes each way! One-way fare for adults is $3.00.
For those arriving by car, ample parking is available in the garages near both convention center buildings for an hourly/daily fee (plan for $25+). For more information about parking in one of Seattle Convention Center's garages, including directions, hours, rates and monthly passes, please visit their Parking Garage Information Page.
All of the official ASHA hotels are within pedestrian-friendly distances from both Seattle Convention Center buildings. Limited shuttle service will be available to and from the convention center buildings for a few of the hotels that are farthest away (less than .6 miles). The hotels with shuttle service are noted within the hotel reservations system. A more detailed shuttle schedule will be available in early November.
An ADA-accessible shuttle equipped with a wheelchair lift will be available for all ASHA hotels and any official ASHA event (i.e., ASHFoundation Fundraiser or the ASHA PAC Reception) for attendees who need this service.
Those who use scooters can use the standard shuttle service; shuttle staff will help stow scooters in the cargo area of the shuttle. Scooters and wheelchairs will be available for rent from Scootaround..
