I've been using EMCO's package manager and remote installer apps for almost a year now, and the organization I work for has purchased the enterprise licenses for both products. There has been mixed success with both apps, but I'm thinking I could be using EMCO's products to their full potential if there was chatter in the community on it. Not to say EMCO's support isn't helpful, but like most apps working over a network, the environment can change the outcomes.
Hi Recently I started using this EMCO remote installer . An issue we noticed is that if any process is being run as part of installation ,EMCO tool won't mark the installation as complete even after successful installation. For example when we install sqlserver ,after successful installation it runs a service sqlsrver.exe . Hence EMCO tool still wait for the process to terminate. If we kill the process sqlsrver.exe EMCO tool will mark as complete. Any workaround for such issue?
