Hi Dan,

Thank you very much for your support of Gaia GPS.  You can export all of your waypoints at once by going into your saved waypoints screen.  Then tap on the export arrow in the upper right hand corner.  Then tap "Export Places".  Unfortunately, Gaia GPS does not yet have the ability to combine waypoints and tracks after they are recorded.   However, please add a comment to this feature request for your idea to combine waypoints with tracks after their creation: http://gaiagps.uservoice.com/forums/118985-general/suggestions/2941104-provide-the-ability-to-edit-saved-tracks-includin

Next time you want to record waypoints and associate then with a track, begin recording a track as you move. Then any waypoints you drop near you while recording the track are included in that track.

The best way to edit GPX files at the moment is through Google Earth.  You can import your waypoints, combine them into one file and edit their locations.

Savannah

I uploaded a .gpx file to Gaia and used it on a recent hike.  I recorded water sources along the trail as waypoints.  Now I'd like to download all waypoints and add them to the track .GPX file.
1. How do I download all the waypoints as a group, or do I have to do it one at a time?
2. Can Gaia combine the track and waypoints into a .gpx file?
3. I lost GPS signal at one point in a deep gap, so I made a waypoint when I was able to get signal.  How can I move the waypoint to the correct location?

I tried to figure this out with the manual but got stuck.  Thanks.

Savannah,
We use recreational-grade Garmin GPS units to collect data for biological surveys. We are looking at using GaiaGPS on Android tablets to replace the Garmin units. One obstacle is exporting large numbers of collected waypoints. We would like to export all the collected waypoints at once. The problem is I can't find an "export arrow in the upper right hand corner" on the tablet I'm working with. Is this feature specific to iPhones, or am I looking in the wrong place?
The ability to group tracks or waypoints into folders or some other method, and export them all at once, would make GaiaGPS a feasible alternative for us. Any suggestions?

Hi Bruce,

We are getting an increasing number of requests for both exporting multiple waypoints at once on Android, and doing arbitrary groups of waypoints/tracks.

I can't give a precise ETA, but sometime this spring or summer, I expect to have done some things for grouping/exporting. You can add your vote to these ideas to get notified about progress too:
