Hey there,

I think you are referring to the Android app. If so, you might be able to back up the entire app and restore it somehow, but I don't know how to do it.

Sorry!

Andrew

What is the location of the folder containing way points and maps so they can be backed up, restored using SSH?

Hi,

In the Android version of Gaia GPS, all saved and cached maps, as well as exported tracks and waypoints, are saved within the Gaia GPS directory which the app creates. You can view and select the location of the Gaia GPS directory within the settings screen. However, due to the way Gaia GPS handles data internally, you will not be able to back up your saved data by simply copying the Gaia GPS directory. You can back up your waypoints and tracks by first exporting them from the saved screen, backing up the exported files, and later importing them from the saved screen. However, in the current version of the app you won't be able to back up saved or cached maps, which will have to be re-downloaded. Regards,

Steve
