Since I upgraded to IOS 8 on my iPhone 4s and upgraded to the then-current version of Gaia GPS, the option to keep the arrow/cursor centered on the screen doesn't work. I'm certain that I have turned on this option by tapping on the circle in the middle of the toolbar, and it fails to work properly 100 percent of the time. I have the latest version of Gaia GPS. Thanks.

I have the latest version (v9.1.2.1) and iOS 8. I noticed that the centering of the screen does work, but o,ly if you saty in the application. When you move to another application and come back then GaiaGPS doesn't center anymore. Restoring the centering feature by clicking the little icon again works. (I am using iPhone 5S)

Hi there,

Kaibob, please send an email to sup...@gaiagps.com so we can troubleshoot the failure of the centering functionality with you. In your email, please let us know if the locator cross-hairs turn red when you tap it once or if nothing happens. Also include more detail about if this ever works for you, or doesn’t work at all.

Dirk, the issue you are experiencing with the location arrow not staying centered when you background and come back to Gaia GPS is a known bug, and we are working on fixing it for the next update. Thanks for posting about the work-around you discovered!

My best,
Ruthie Irvin
