I should have provided more background on this. I was not suggesting
using Windows Explorer to view those files but a special file browser
for iphones called iphonebrowser
http://code.google.com/p/iphonebrowser/.
That browser allows one to view files on the iphone that Itunes
cannot see.
If the answer is still no, that tool cannot see them either, then my
next question would be, does this same limitation apply to the Android
platform?
I will still post my request in your wish list, I was just curious to
know if this is more of an Iphone file management limitation or if it
is inherent in the gaigps implementation? Obviously, there is a
file somewhere at the beginning but it could be that it gets
internalized by gaigps and loses its identity as a file whether its
Iphone or Android and maybe its an IP rights management issue.
Can you give me a rough idea how big these map files are? Just pick
any topo region you have and tell me the size. Depending on that
answer it may not really be a good request.
tks
