Hi,

I'm using several GPS appliations on my iPod Touch with external GPS
(iGPS360) and GPS-Serial.

Works fine with many apps, but Gaia asks for an external (Wifi only)
GPS.

I quite like Gaia, but is there really no way to use it with my
iGPS360?

Hi there,

Unfortunately, our app does not work with Orange's iGPS360, but it will eventually. It does work with the Dual cradle, TomTom cradle, RoqyBT, and a Qstarz BT-Q818.

I corresponded with Orange's engineers last week and we discussed the problem, but I have not implemented the fix yet.

Regards,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

While you're speaking on this topic, do you happen to know if Gaia is
compatible with the "Magellan... Car Kit for... iPod Touch?"
The kit's available from the Apple Store. Presumably if compatible
with the Magellan car kit, it would work with the new Magellan
ToughCase (which is what I'm ultimately interested in). I will be
ordering one of these beauties the moment available, and I'm shopping
around now for apps.
I like what I'm seeing and reading about your product, sounds like
exactly what I'm looking for.

Yours,

I am almost positive it will be compatible with either of the Magellans. We've only had problems with the Orange device, and that one requires jail-breaking. Also, if it doesn't work with the new ToughCase out of the box, we'll definitely fix it to do so, since that one is so outdoor focused.

FYI, I have been corresponding with Orange and we are working on the issue. They have been awesome about trying to get this resolved, including doing technical work on their end and providing us code review.
