iOS Export email KML not showing up in mail.app

I have not dug too far into this yet. When I export via email on
iPhone the resulting email message has two attachments, a gpx and a
KML file. When I send the email to my gmail account, mail.app in OS X
Lion only gets the gpx file, no kml? When I look at the emai lon the
web at my gmail account same thing. When I look at my sent mail on my
phone, only the gpx file is attached.

I have tried exporting and then deleting the gpx file, leaving the kml
file and then sending the email - no attachment.

A quick search in the groups did not show any mention of this issue
that I could find.

Hi Jeff,

Yes, you are correct, this is an issue with the email export feature.  I am very sorry about this problem and the inconvenience it has caused you.  We noticed this about a week ago ourselves, and have fixed the email export feature in our next release which is currently being tested.  If testing goes well, we will submit the update to Apple for review in about a week.  Thus, if all goes well between testing and the Apple review process, there will be a new release in the App Store in about two weeks that resolves this issue.  Again, I am very sorry for any inconvenience this problem has caused you.
