Iceland Trail Maps

Hello,

I'm planning a trip in Iceland where we'll be using a 4x4 to access a few remote areas, day hiking, and then a couple multi-day camping trips. I've successfully experimented with downloading maps but I find the trail markings on the maps provided in app to be adequate, but I would like more (and better to be hones). I've downloaded a few trail maps from the Icelandic National Land Survey, but also looking for other map sources. Any ideas?

Hi Chris,

Do you have a specific idea of which trails you will be on?

You could search EveryTrail or Google and download specific data files to import and overlay on the topo maps in the app. Since Gaia GPS can import GPX and KML files, you can often find a trail this way, and use it as a vector in the app. We're trying to get more more tracks in our own database, and then integrate search in the app too: cloud.gaiagps.com
