unable to import .gpx on android

I get "error : unable to import tracks" when trying to import a gpx
track on android (htc desire) via astro filemanager.
Same in paid and beta .
tracks open fine in bcnav.

gpx from wikiloc work, .plt files converted to gpx via gpsbabel do
not.

I also am having trouble importing .gpx files from a number of
different sources. I an using Gaia GPS 2.2(17) and the problem .gpx
files are generated by a Garmin GPS or Mapsource, GPSVisualizer,
Trimble Outdoors, etc. They all load fine in the GPSVisualizer web
site. The only file I have been able to load was from Global Motion.
I am attempting to import using the Astro file manager, Gaia GPS
launches and I get the "Unable to import Tracks" error.

Hey guys,

I am guessing these are waypoint files you are trying to import.

Unfortunately, on Android, we just support tracks right now, though wapoint imports are pretty high on our list.

If it's a track file you are trying to import, please send it to and...@gaiagps.com so I can further investigate.
