saving tracks on gaiagps.com

I saw a comment about saving tracks on gaiagps.com. Not just syncing, but having the track remain in the cloud when I delete it in my phone. In my track list on gaiagps.com I notice a 'show archived tracks' toggle, which looks promising, but I can't find any more info on this, or a way to archive a track. I couldn't find anything in the manual either.
I'd there a way to have a track preserved in the cloud?
