I tried a test track in Gaia GPS for Android and it will not let me use a custom name for a new track. The only thing it lets me do is to use the generic name "New Track". I can't find a way around it.
Here is what I did:
Click on "Trip" in the main menu.
Click on "New Track" tab.
Edit "New Track" with "Test Track1".
Click on "Paused".
Walk around the block.
Click on "Recording".
Click on "New Track".
Exit back to the main menu.
Once that was done, the name "Test Track1" reverted to the default "New Track".
Here is the way it should be:
Click on "Trip" in the main menu.
Click on "New Track".
The Android keyboard should automatically come up allowing you to enter a new track name.
The "Paused" button should be showing "Start Recording".
Click on "Start Recording". The button should now show "Recording".
Walk around the block.
Click on "Recording". A popup menu should come up and ask "What would you like to do?" with "Pause", "Stop".
If the user selects "Stop", the popup menu should ask "Would you like to save?" with the buttons "Yes" or "No".
If the user selects "Pause", the word "Paused" should show on the button.
Also there should be a way to edit the name of the existing track by clicking the existing track name where the Android keyboard will come up. Once the new name is entered,
a popup menu should ask you "Would you like to save or cancel the changes?"---Yes,No,Cancel.
