Hi there,

There are a number of marine charts I'd like to have available on my phone, but would prefer not to have to go through the warper process as they're already "spatially aware" (I'm not sure what the proper term is), and the resulting image quality isn't acceptable. Is there any way of doing that?

The download options are

Thanks in advance,

Hi Greg,

It's on our todo list to make a map server from that data source, it's great they recently released a usable format for us. Then you'll be able to conveniently add the all of those charts at once from inside the app. Using the map servers already set up by NZ, each chart would have to be added individually, if there are just 1 or 2 charts you'd need while you wait, let me know and I'll help you get that set up.

Hi Anna,

Sorry about the slow reply, I'd assumed I'd be emailed when the topic was updated, but I neglected to set that up.

Great to hear that you're thinking about doing it. I do only have a couple I'm after at the moment. If you are able to format them, I would really appreciate it. The ones I'm after are:

I'm happy to add them individually, but when I tried warping the small scale maps, the writing became illegible.

Thanks again,
Greg

Hi Greg,

Good News! The New Zealand charts are now available as an additional source in the app. Just go into your sources menu and click on 'More Layers' to add it as a source. Enjoy!
