Hello Folks

I've been using Gaia GPS on an Ipad for over a year.  I mount the Ipad in my Rzr - makes a great real-time trail finder/mapper.  I'd love to see a windows version and am wondering what thoughts the team has on doing a port?  I'd anticipate the API between android and Windows is going to be easier than IOS to Android....With the new bay trail tablets coming out now with windows 8.1 there will finally  be a real market for windows tablets (Dell is selling one in walmart for 299).

What are your thoughts!?

I think it's unlikely... we mostly plan to serve the Windows market by making cloud.gaiagps.com do more of what the app does (route-planning, map download selection, etc.)

A native Windows port would be a large project, and as far as large projects go, I'm much more interested in 1) better using vectors so we can make the maps smaller, 2) folders/collections, 3) more data acquisition for iOS/Android, and 4) advanced GIS import/export like MBTiles, shape files, etc.

I also think we probably have more demand for a native Mac app, and that's not in our dev plans yet either.
