I've sent this question to Gaia support and they are working on it, but in the interim, I wonder if any of this group has found a way to upload large topo map areas for offline use.

The objective for me is to upload to my Samsung S4 topo maps for a 1000km thru hike, where I do not plan to have access to internet over the 5 weeks of the trip. I have a track for the entire length and have attempted to download map tiles using the download Map along track function. This appears to take less storage than downloading a rectangle or series of rectangular areas. The process though, using wifi, does not complete the download, and takes over a day before stopping. I realize I could subdivide the track into segments, and want to avoid having to manage map segments if possible during the trip. I  am using the current version of Gaia.

Any suggestions?

Ted
