Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Chris Hedges discusses his latest
book, Death of the Liberal Class.
A lucid and disturbing look inside America’s fallen liberal
institutions, Death of the Liberal Class examines the collapse of the
press, universities, and trade unions as effective counterweights to
the corporate state. This imbalance of power has permitted a new
political configuration that has left the poor, the working class, and
even the middle class without a champion.
Hedges is a senior fellow at The Nation Institute and former Middle
East bureau chief for The New York Times.
