Don't Miss the Upcoming Sustainable Development Working Group Meeting!

Co-hosted by East Bay Housing Organizations and the Green Affordable Housing Coalition

January 13, 2005

3-5 PM

Oakland City Hall, Hearing Room #4

One Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, 2nd Floor

(12th Street Oakland City Center BART)

Join us for a two-part program:

1. Multifamily Green Building Guidelines
The Guidelines offer cost-effective suggestions to create healthier and more durable homes, lower operating costs for building owners, reduce construction-related waste, and support local suppliers of resource efficient building materials.

2. Draft Multifamily Policy Tool
Alameda County Waste Management Authority is releasing the Draft Multifamily Policy Tool < />  for a pilot phase. Because this is an incredibly important policy initiative, we would like to have NPH developers run actual multifamily projects through the system and bring the results to this meeting. This discussion will help ACWMA evaluate the baseline recommendations.

Please download both the Instructions and the Policy Tool Instructions and the Policy Tool, try it out and tell us what you think on January 13th. For those of you unable to attend the meeting, please fill out the tool anyway and send your feedback to Karen Kho (kk...@stopwaste.org) no later that February 1, 2005.

If you have trouble with either of the downloads, feel free to reply to this message and we can send it to you in a different format.
