Announcement - Build It Green Home Tour

Build It Green presents the first Build It Green Home Tour in Marin and Sonoma Counties.
This event builds on the huge success of the May 2005 Build It Green Home Tour in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, which drew more than 1,700 participants.
On Sunday, September 25, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., 17 homeowners from Mill Valley to Santa Rosa will open their doors and introduce attendees to techniques and products used to build their green homes. The tour covers the spectrum—from remodels to brand new homes. This innovative tour will showcase residences built and remodeled utilizing sustainable, durable products and practices that deliver high quality, energy efficient, healthy, and comfortable homes.
The one-day tour will demonstrate techniques and technologies such as radiant floor heating, passive solar, and natural daylighting.
Discover green materials like fiber-cement siding, recycled wood decking, FSC cabinetry, and bamboo, cork and exposed concrete flooring options.
As part of the home tour, we are also offering green building workshops throughout the summer and fall including Green By Design, Green Building 101, Green Home Systems…and more.
