Speakers:

 

Maryanne Welton, Vice President of Rob Wellington Quigley, FAIA, will be our keynote speaker. Maryanne was instrumental in the design of the AIA COTE Green Project Award winning Leslie Shao-Ming Sun Field Station.

 

To kick off the event, Congressman Mike Honda's Energy and the Environment Advisor Geoff Crockwell will give a message from the Congressman's office. He will be followed by San Jose Councilmember Linda LeZotte.

 

And our Saturday panel discussion will be on creating sustainable communities in the Bay Area. Our speakers will be lead off by San Jose Councilmember Linda LeZotte. The panel will also include a representative from the City of San Jose Green Building Program, Steve Sokolsky Program Director from the California Building Performance Contractors Association and more. Event description:

The American Institute of Architects Santa Clara Valley Chapter, Committee on the Environment will be holding a 2-day event at the Parkside Hall in San Jose, part of the Convention Center Complex. The purpose of the Green Building Fair is to educate construction professionals on the means and materials to create sustainable buildings and preserve our delicate environment. This year we're bigger and better with added value for attendees and exhibits. We have:

  • Exhibit floor full of top sustainable building materials and methods.
  • The AIA National Committee on the Environment Top 10 Green Projects 2005 in a beautiful exhibit. The National Award winning projects are best practice examples of a high-performance, sustainable design approach.
  • 16 Sustainability Seminars for residential and commercial Architects, Engineers and Contractors with CES learning units including HSW.
  • Speaking engagements by some of the industries top professionals and visionaries to enhance your conference experience.
